This article is about a Norwegian municipality. For the abbreviation, see SEL. Sel is a municipality in the county of Oppland, Norway.Sel was separated from Vågå as a municipality of its own January 1, 1908. The municipality of Heidal was merged with Sel January 1, 1965.Sel is bordered on the north by Dovre and Vågå municipalities, and on the south by Nord-Fron municipality. To the northeast it is bordered by Folldal municipality in Hedmark county.
