Source Code Control System
Das Source Code Control System (SCCS) ist die erste Software zur Versionsverwaltung von Dateien auf dem Computer. Die erste Version wurde 1972 von Marc J. Rochkind an den Bell Labs geschrieben. Es dient speziell bei Textdateien wie Quelltexten, Konfigurationsdateien oder Dokumentationen der Verwaltung und Dokumentation der Änderungen. Es wird üblicherweise bei kommerziellen Unix-Versionen mitgeliefert.

Source Code Control System, SCCS, var det första kontrollsystemet för källkod. Det utvecklades 1972 på Bell Labs av Marc J. Rochkind för att användas på en IBM System/370-dator med operativsystemet OS/MVT. SCCS flyttades senare till en PDP-11 i UNIX-miljö.
