Ruvuma is a region in Tanzania. It is named after the Ruvuma River which forms most of its southern boundary with Mozambique. It is also bordered to the North by the Morogoro Region, to the Northeast by the Lindi Region, to the East by the Mtwara Region and to the Northwest by the Iringa Region. Ruvuma has a lot of tribes, such as the Mpoto. The capital is Songea.

Ruvuma est une région du Sud de la Tanzanie. Située à l'écart des grands axes, elle est très étendue mais peu densément peuplée. Elle est bordée au sud par la frontière mozambicaine, marquée la plupart du temps par le fleuve Ruvuma et à l'ouest par le lac Malawi.

Ruvuma är den sydligaste av Tanzanias 26 regioner, med gräns mot Malawi i väster (sjövägen över Malawisjön) och Moçambique i söder. Den har en beräknad folkmängd av 1 338 801 invånare 2009 på en yta av 63 498 km². Den administrativa huvudorten är Songea. Regionen har fått sitt namn efter Ruvumafloden, som utgör huvuddelen av gränsdragningen mot Moçambique.
