Royal Dublin Society
The Royal Dublin Society (RDS), or Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Atha Cliath (CRBAC) in Irish, was founded on June 25 1731 by members of the Dublin Philosophical Society, as the 'Dublin Society for improving Husbandry, Manufactures and other Useful Arts'. At a further meeting a couple of weeks later, on July 8, the designation 'and Sciences' was added to the end of its name.

Royal Dublin Society
La Royal Dublin Society, habituellement connue sous l'abréviation RDS, ou, en irlandais Cumann Ríoga Bhaile Átha Cliath (CRBÁC), fut fondée le 25 juin 1731 pour « promouvoir et développer l'agriculture, les arts, l'industrie, et la science en Irlande ». Ses locaux principaux se trouvent à Ballsbridge, une banlieue sud de Dublin.
