Roman Mass

The Mass is the name given to the Eucharistic celebration in the Latin liturgical rites of the Roman Catholic Church, in Old Catholic Churches, in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of Anglicanism, and in some largely High Church Lutheran regions, including the Scandinavian and Baltic countries.The term is derived from the late-Latin word missa (dismissal), a word used in the concluding formula of Mass in Latin: "Ite, missa est" ("Go; it is the dismissal").For the celebration of the Eucharist in Eastern Churches, including those in full communion with the Holy See of Rome, other terms, such as the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Qurbana, and the Badarak, are normally used. Western denominations not in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, such as Calvinist Christianity, also usually prefer terms other than Mass. Heilige Messe ist der in der römisch-katholischen und von ihr abstammenden Kirchen gebräuchliche Name für den die Wortverkündigung und Eucharistiefeier umfassenden Haupt-Gottesdienst. In den katholischen und sonstigen Ostkirchen wird sie gewöhnlich als (Göttliche) Liturgie bezeichnet. Nach katholischem Verständnis ist die Eucharistiefeier nicht nur eine Erinnerung an das letzte Abendmahl Jesu Christi, sondern auch das vergegenwärtigende Gedächtnis seines Kreuzestodes (daher auch Messopfer genannt) und seiner Auferstehung, in die die Mitfeiernden aktiv mit einbezogen werden und durch die sie die eine Kirche sind (deshalb keine unterschiedslose Interkommunion und Interzelebration).

La Celebrazione Eucaristica o Santa Messa è il rito della Chiesa cattolica, delle chiese Anglicane di tradizione anglo-cattolica e di alcune chiese Luterane in cui si celebra l'Eucaristia.Il termine "Messa" deriva dalla parola latina missa che viene pronunciata il sacerdote nel rito in latino, quando dice: "Ite, missa est" (Andate la messa è finita).Nella Chiesa cattolica è costituita da due parti, la Liturgia della Parola e la Liturgia eucaristica; esse sono così strettamente congiunte tra loro da formare un unico atto di culto. Nella Messa viene imbandita tanto la mensa della parola di Dio quanto la mensa del Corpo di Cristo, e i fedeli ne ricevono istruzione e ristoro. Ci sono inoltre alcuni riti che iniziano e altri che concludono la celebrazione.
