Rock and Roll

Rock 'n' Roll (short for Rock and Roll), is a genre of music that evolved in the United States in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and quickly spread to the rest of the world. It later spawned the various sub-genres of what is now called simply 'rock music'.

Le rock 'n' roll (pour rock and roll), souvent raccourci en rock, est un genre musical apparu au début des années 1950 qui, de façon synthétique, mêle le blues, le rhythm and blues, le swing jazz et le gospel. Il est caractérisé par une mélodie vocale dominante, souvent accompagnée par une (ou plusieurs) guitare électrique, une guitare basse et une batterie, mais peut également être accompagné de cuivres ou autres instruments. Le rock devient par la suite une véritable "philosophie" avec sa dominance culturelle, du cinéma aux bandes dessinées en passant par la mode vestimentaire.

Rock ’n’ Roll (kurz für Rock and Roll) ist ein nicht klar umrissener Begriff für eine US-amerikanische Musikrichtung der 1950er- und frühen 1960er-Jahre und das damit verbundene Lebensgefühl einer Jugend-Protestkultur. Die bis auf wenige Ausnahmen im 4/4-Takt gespielte Musik enthält einen deutlichen Backbeat (starker Akzent auf den geraden Zählzeiten zwei und vier).

Oryginalnie wywodzi się z uproszczonego i zredukowanego, do trzech lub czterech akordów, schematu bluesowego granego w szybkim tempie. Dodatkowo obejmuje wpływy rhythm and bluesa, country i tradycyjnego jazzu. Il rock and roll (scritto anche rock'n'roll oppure R&R) è un genere musicale nato negli Stati Uniti negli anni cinquanta e in seguito diffusosi rapidamente in tutto il mondo. Letteralmente "rock and roll" può essere tradotto con "ondeggia e ruota"; il rock'n'roll nacque infatti innanzitutto come "musica da ballare", con uno stile specifico di danza derivata dal boogie-woogie, ballo di origine afro-americana molto diffuso nell'immediato dopoguerra.
