Road Runner und Wile E. Coyote sind zwei Cartoon-Figuren von Chuck Jones, die in Cartoons der Warner Bros.-Produktionen Looney Tunes und Merrie Melodies auftreten. Aus dem speziellen Konzept für die Road-Runner-Cartoons folgt, dass beide Charaktere fast ausschließlich gemeinsam auftreten. Lediglich der Kojote wurde in leicht abgewandelter Form zusammen mit anderen Looney-Tunes-Figuren kombiniert. Die ersten Folgen entstanden 1949 (Fast and Furry-ous) und 1952 (Beep Beep). Jones' Cartoon war ursprünglich als Satire auf die seinerzeit sehr beliebten Katz-und-Maus-Trickfilme wie Tom und Jerry geplant. Nachdem der Pilot nicht als solche erkannt wurde, aber als Komödie gut beim Publikum ankam, wurde das ursprüngliche Konzept fallen gelassen.

Coyote e Road Runner (Beep Beep) sono personaggi dei cartoni animati creati da Chuck Jones nel 1948 per la Warner Bros.La produzione di cartoni animati statunitense vanta, oltre ai famosissimi cartoon di Disney e Hanna & Barbera, anche gli spassosi Looney Tunes e Merry Melodies della Warner Bros prodotti a partire dagli anni quaranta. Wile E. Coyote (conosciuto anche come Willie o Vil Coyote) e il Road Runner (Beep Beep) sono personaggi di queste serie a cartoni animati. Il primo cartoon dedicato esclusivamente ai due personaggi risale al 1949 con l'episodio Fast and Furry-ous.
