River Avon, Hampshire

The River Avon is a river in the counties of Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset in the south of England. It rises in Wiltshire, east of Devizes, flows south through Upavon, Durrington, Amesbury, Salisbury, Fordingbridge and Ringwood, meeting up with the river Stour at Christchurch, flowing into Christchurch Harbour and into the English Channel at Mudeford.
