Rik Mayall
Richard Michael "Rik" Mayall (born 7 March 1958) is an English comedian, writer and actor. He is known for his comedy partnership with Ade Edmondson, his over-the-top, energetic portrayal of characters, and as a pioneer of alternative comedy in the early 1980s. Such notability has led him to appear in sitcoms such as The Young Ones, Blackadder, The New Statesman, and Bottom and even onto the big screen in comedy films such as Drop Dead Fred and Guest House Paradiso.

Rik Mayall
Richard "Rik" Mayall, född 7 mars 1958 i Harlow, Essex, är en brittisk skådespelare och komiker. Han är mest känd för sitt samarbete med Ade Edmondson (f. 1957) och sin ofta energiska, lätt överdrivna spelstil. Han var en av pionjärerna på den alternativa komediscenen under det tidiga 1980-talet.

Rik Mayall
Rik Mayall (Harlow, Essex, Engeland, 7 maart 1958) is een Britse komiek, die vooral geassocieerd wordt met absurdistische humor.
Naast verschillende series - vaak met collega-komiek Adrian Edmondson - maakte Mayall ook een aantal films. In de begindagen van MTV Europe maakten ze samen ook voor MTV enkele absurde programma's, of ze speelden er in elk geval in mee.
In 1980 debuteerde Mayall in de korte (48 minuten) film The Orchard End Murder. Hij speelde een politieman. Voordat Mayall in 1982 doorbrak met de beruchte comedy-serie The Young Ones, speelde hij nog enkele kleine rollen in speelfilms, waaronder The Eye Of The Needle uit 1981 en An American Werewolf In London uit hetzelfde jaar.
