Richard H. Thaler (born September 12, 1945, in East Orange, New Jersey) is an  American economist and the Ralph and Dorothy Keller Distinguished Service Professor of Behavioral Science and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is perhaps best known as a theorist in behavioral finance, and for his collaboration with Daniel Kahneman and others in further defining that field.

Richard H. Thaler (n. 1945) es un economista famoso como teórico en finanzas conductuales y por su colaboración con Daniel Kahneman y otros en la definición avanzada de este campo. Se doctoró en Ciencias Económicas en la Universidad de Rochester en 1974. Actualmente enseña en la Universidad de Chicago, y colabora con el "National Bureau of Economic Research".
