Remake

In film, a remake is a newer version of a previously released film or a newer version of the source (play, novel, story, etc.) of a previously made film. The term "remake" is generally used in reference to a movie which uses an earlier movie as the main source material, rather than in reference to a second, later movie based on the same source. For example, 2001's Ocean's Eleven is a remake of the 1960 film, while 1989's Batman is a re-interpretation of the comic book source material which also inspired 1966's Batman. Furthermore, the 2005 film Batman Begins would not be considered a remake, as it is still an adaptation of the comic book series. Another series of films which share a common source material where none of its various incantations can be considered remakes would be any adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, one important factor in this is that each adaptation either does or does not include sections from Through the Looking Glass.

Resident Evil, known in Japan as , is a survival horror video game by Capcom and is the inaugural title in the Resident Evil series. It was originally released in 1996 for the Sony PlayStation and has subsequently been ported to the Sega Saturn and PC. A Directors Cut was also released.In 2002, a remake of the game was released for the Nintendo GameCube featuring new graphics, voice acting and many significant gameplay changes. A Nintendo DS port of the original was released in early 2006.It was the first game to be dubbed a "survival horror," a term coined by Capcom to promote the title.

Remake (wym. rimejk, ang. wytwarzać coś ponownie) – w kinematografii terminem tym określa się nowszą wersję wcześniej nakręconego filmu lub kolejną adaptację jakiegoś materiału źródłowego, np. sztuki, książki, opowiadania itd.Terminu remake przeważnie używa się w odniesieniu do filmu, który opiera się na jakimś już wcześniej nakręconym, rzadziej do drugiej czy kolejnej adaptacji materiału głównego. Dla przykładu: Ocean’s Eleven: Ryzykowna gra (2001) rozpatrywany jest jako remake filmu z 1960 roku, natomiast Batman Tima Burtona z 1989 uważany jest za reinterpretację komiksu, który w 1966 zainspirował twórców do nakręcenia wcześniejszej jego wersji. To samo można powiedzieć o powieści Iana Fleminga Casino Royale, która na ekran przenoszona była trzykrotnie: w 1954 jako serial telewizyjny, jako parodia w roku 1967, a w 2006 jako pełnometrażowy film. Uważane są one za osobne adaptacje a nie remaki, chociaż pojawiają się w nich podobne postaci czy zarys fabularny.

Resident Evil –  gra  która po raz pierwszy wydana została w 1996 roku na konsole PlayStation, spodobała ona się graczom tak bardzo, że zyskała status kultowej i jednej z najlepszych gier survival horror, Capcom postanowił robić więc sequele tej gry. Gry z serii zostały wydane na wiele platform. Na podstawie gry powstał także film.

Tutto ciò, ovviamente, a seconda delle esigenze diverse da quelle del film originale. Solitamente maggiore è la distanza temporale tra le due pellicole, maggiori sono le differenze.
