Reflex

ReFLEX is a wireless protocol developed by Motorola which is used for two-way paging. It is based on the one-way FLEX protocol and comes in two variants, ReFLEX25 and ReFLEX50. Later version 2.7 of the ReFLEX protocol was released. Devices compliant with ReFLEX 2.7.x can operate on both ReFLEX25 and ReFLEX50 networks.

A reflex action is an automatic (involuntary) neuromuscular action elicited by a defined stimulus. In most contexts, especially involving humans, a reflex action is mediated via the reflex arc (although this is not always true in other animals, or in more casual usage of the term 'reflex'.)

Un réflexe est une réponse musculaire , stéréotypée et très rapide à un stimulus. Une activité réflexe est induite par un arc réflexe, le mécanisme de réponse intégrée d'un centre nerveux sans intervention du cerveau et de la volonté consciente. Les réflexes sont souvent des réactions de défense, comme le retrait du membre en cas de brûlure, avant que le cerveau ait perçu la douleur. Les réactions réflexe ont pour but de rétablir l'homéostasie.

Odruch to w fizjologii automatyczna reakcja na bodziec zewnętrzny lub wewnętrzny, zachodząca przy udziale ośrodkowego układu nerwowego. Na tę formę pracy układu nerwowego uwagę zwrócił Iwan M. Sieczenow.Droga nerwowa od receptora, będącego źródłem odruchu, do narządu wykonawczego (efektora) nosi nazwę łuku odruchowego. Łuk odruchowy od receptora biegnie neuronem czuciowym (aferentnym) do ośrodkowego układu nerwowego, stamtąd neuronem ruchowym (eferentnym) biegnie do efektora. Najprostsze odruchy składają się tylko z dwóch neuronów, połączonych jedną synapsą (odruch monosynaptyczny), ale przeważnie składają się z większej liczby neuronów. Te dodatkowe neurony nazywają się pośredniczymi. Wyróżnia się odruchy proste, np. kolanowe i bardziej złożone, np. kończyny górnej albo ruch źrenicy.

In fotografia, per Single Lens Reflex (SLR) o più semplicemente reflex si intendono le macchine fotografiche dotate di un sistema composto da uno specchio posto a 45° rispetto all'obiettivo e da un pentaprisma. Lo specchio è dotato di un meccanismo che lo fa sollevare al momento dello scatto in modo che la luce raggiunga l'elemento sensibile (pellicola o sensore). Questo meccanismo consente di osservare nel mirino della macchina fotografica la stessa immagine catturata dall'obiettivo. Caratteristico delle fotocamere reflex è il fatto che, durante l'esposizione, il soggetto non è più visibile al fotografo, a causa dell'inclinazione dello specchio verso l'elemento sensibile.
