Rawalpindi District
Rawalpindi district contains the city of Rawalpindi. The district has an area of 5,286 km² and a population of about 3,363,911 people of which 53.03% were urban in 1998 Census details. It is thus the second-most advanced district in Punjab. It was part of Rawalpindi Division, until the year 2000 when the division was abolished .
