Rajasthan

Rājasthān (Devanāgarī: राजस्थान, ) is the largest state of the Republic of India in terms of area. It encompasses most of the area of the large, inhospitable Great Indian Desert (Thar Desert), which has an edge paralleling the Sutlej-Indus river valley along its border with Pakistan. The region borders Pakistan to the west, Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast and Punjab to the north. Rajasthan covers an area of 342,239 km² (132,139 mi²).

Le Rajasthan (Hindî : राजस्थान, Ourdou : راجستان), le pays de rois, est un État de l'ouest de l'Inde. Sa capitale est Jaipur. Il est bordé à l'ouest par le Pakistan, au nord par le Penjab, au nord-est par l'Haryana et l'Uttar Pradesh, au sud-est par le Madhya Pradesh et au sud-ouest par le Gujarat.

Rajasthan (Hindi: राजस्थान Rājasthān []) ist ein indischer Bundesstaat mit einer Fläche von 342.239 km² und 56.473.122 Einwohnern (Stand 2001). Die Hauptstadt Rajasthans ist Jaipur und die Landessprachen sind Hindi und Englisch. Des Weiteren hat Rajasthani kürzlich den Status als Landessprache erhalten.

Radżastan (hindi राजस्थान, trb.: Radźasthan, trl.: Rājasthān; ang. Rajasthan) - stan w północno-zachodnich Indiach, położony w ich zachodniej części. Stolicą stanu, a zarazem największym miastem jest Jaipur. Stan został utworzony 1 listopada 1956 roku. Jest to obecnie największy pod względem powierzchni stan Indii. Radżastan graniczy z Pakistanem, oraz z następującymi stanami Indii: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Pendżab.
