RV

In North American English the term recreational vehicle, and its acronym RV, are generally used to refer to an enclosed piece of equipment dually used as both a vehicle and a temporary travel home.RVs are intended for everything from brief leisure activities such as vacations and camping, to full-time living, for which they are often parked in special trailer parks. (However, many trailer parks are reserved just for mobile homes, not to be confused with RVs/motorhomes.) RVs can also be rented in most major cities and tourist areas.

Un camping-car est un véhicule automobile permettant d'habiter à l'intérieur grâce à un aménagement compact mais complet. On l'appelle parfois aussi autocaravane ou véhicule récréatif, alors qu'en Belgique, on préfère le terme motorhome ou mobilhome . Au Québec, l'utilisation des termes roulotte, caravane ou Winnebago peuvent également désigner le camping-car.

Ein Wohnmobil ist ein Straßenfahrzeug mit einem bewohnbaren Aufbau, der häufig einem Wohnwagen ähnelt. Basis ist in der Regel ein Kleinbus oder Kleintransporter. Überwiegend werden Wohnmobile zum Camping und für Urlaube mit wechselnden Stand- und Erlebnisorten verwendet. Wohnmobile werden aber auch von Geschäftsreisenden wie Handelsvertreter oder Schausteller zum Übernachten oder als mobiles Büro an wechselnden Arbeitsorten genutzt. Ein Wohnmobil kann auch Reisemobil genannt werden. Beide Begriffe bezeichnen den selben Typ von Fahrzeug.

Il camper o autocaravan è un mezzo di trasporto, classificato dal codice della strada tra gli autoveicoli, che, come la roulotte - detta anche caravan - è allestito in modo da permettere il soggiorno dei suoi occupanti. A differenza della roulotte, che deve essere trainata da un altro veicolo, il camper è dotato di motore e sistema di guida autonomi. Alcuni modelli hanno caratteristiche di comfort ed abitabilità molto elevate. In alcuni paesi, in cui una parte significativa della popolazione cambia frequentemente luogo di residenza e di lavoro, come ad esempio gli Stati Uniti, viene utilizzato da molti nuclei familiari come abitazione stabile. Usato anche dalle moderne popolazioni nomadi, soprattutto europee.
