For the Belgian hardcore band, click here.Rises and falls is a category of the ballroom dance technique that refers to rises and falls of the body of a dancer achieved through actions of knees and feet (ankles). This technique is primarily recognized in International Standard and American Smooth dance categories. Rises and falls are important in Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Viennese Waltz. Tango is described the "level" or "flat" dance, and its basic technique specifically eliminates rises/falls in the overall motion, with the exception of certain advanced figures and styles.

The Rise & Fall is the fourth album by the British pop group Madness. This album saw Madness at their most experimental, exhibiting a range of musical styles including jazz, English music hall and Eastern influences. NME described it at the time of its release as "The best Madness record". It has often been retrospectively described as a concept album. Though the album was never released in the USA, several tracks were later placed on the compilation Madness, including "Our House", their biggest stateside hit.
