It, contrary to some belief, does not mean Roy Ayers Music Production, though that fits the acronym."

Ramp est un groupe de Thrash Metal portugais qui a été fondé en 1989 à Seixal. Ils sont surnommés les Metallica portugais. Leur musique peut aussi être classé Hard Rock ou Heavy metal. Le groupe est fortement influencé par Metallica, Manowar, Slayer, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Ils ont également joué aux cotés de ces groupes. Ils ont aussi assuré les premières parties des concerts portugais de Paradise Lost,Sepultura, Metallica, Slayer et Within Temptation.

Os Ramp são uma banda portuguesa de heavy e trash metal, formada em 1989, no Seixal. O nome da banda, R.A.M.P., tem origem nas iniciais dos nomes, dos membros fundadores: Ricardo, António, Miguel e Paulo.A sua sonoridade é um metal pesado, mas com mais semelhanças com o que se pratica na America do que na Europa. Há quem os chame de os Metallica portugueses .Em 2003 lançaram o seu primeiro disco autoproduzido denominado Nude.
