Quincy Regional Airport , also known as Baldwin Field, is a public
airport located 10 miles (16
km) east of the
central business district (CBD) of
Quincy, a city in
Adams County,
Illinois,
USA. The airport covers 1,101
acres and has three
runways. It is mostly used for
general aviation, but is also served by two commercial airlines. Service is subsidized by the
Essential Air Service program. On November 6, 2006,
Mesa Airlines announced that new non-stop service to
Chicago Midway International Airport and
Kirksville Regional Airport would begin in February, 2007. The flights are operated under the name of their wholly-owned subsidiary,
Air Midwest.
