Queen's Gambit Declined

The Queen's Gambit Declined (QGD) is, in its broadest sense, any variation of the Queen's Gambit chess opening where Black does not play the Queen's Gambit Accepted, 2...dxc4, after 1.d4 d5 2.c4. However, it usually refers to the opening moves 1.d4 d5 2.c4 e6.
