QSS, (quasi-stellar source). A veces también se le llama cuasi - estelar objeto (QSO); un naciente objeto estelar con un gran corrimiento al rojo y con grandes ondas de radiación; se presume que se trata de un objeto extragaláctico y de gran luminosidad.
