Q code
The Q code is a standardized collection of three-letter message encodings, also known as a brevity code, all of which start with the letter "Q", initially developed for commercial radiotelegraph communication, and later adopted by other radio services, especially amateur radio. Although Q codes were created when radio used Morse code exclusively, they continued to be employed after the introduction of voice transmissions. To avoid confusion, transmitter call signs are restricted; while an embedded three-letter Q sequence may occur (for instance when requested by an amateur radio station dedicated to low-power operation), no country is ever issued an ITU prefix starting with "Q". The codes in the range QAA–QNZ are reserved for aeronautical use; QOA–QQZ for maritime use and QRA–QUZ for all services.

Q-Code
Q-Schlüssel
Der Q-Schlüssel (auch Q-Gruppen oder engl. Q code) wird von Funkdiensten zur effizienten und eindeutigen Übertragung von Standard-Nachrichten verwendet. Ursprünglich für die Morsetelegrafie entwickelt, werden Q-Schlüssel aber auch in anderen Betriebsarten verwendet, z. B. im Sprechfunk (Fonie) beim Amateurfunk. Die offizielle Bedeutung der Q-Gruppen und ihre Verwendung im Amateurfunkalltag unterscheiden sich teilweise stark wie am Beispiel: QRT - offiziell: Stellen Sie Ihre Aussendung ein! QRT - im Amateurfunk hingegen: Ich mach' Schluss.

Code Q
Le code Q est un ensemble de codes de trois lettres, au sens bien précis, utilisé par les opérateurs radio. Il a été développé en 1912 afin de faciliter les communications, à cette époque essentiellement en Morse, entre les opérateurs en mer de différentes nationalités.

Q-förkortningar
Q-förkortningar kallas en uppsättning fördefinierade treställiga förkortningar som används vid radiokommunikation, speciellt vid telegrafi. De är fastställda av Internationella Teleunionen (ITU) i Appendix 14 av Radioreglementet, som är en bilaga till Internationella Telekonventionen.

Kod Q
Kod Q jest trzyliterowym kodem (czasem używa się czterech liter) używanym obecnie w telegrafii i krótkofalarstwie.
Kod Q został wprowadzony do użytku międzynarodowego w roku 1912. Zgodnie z zawartym w Londynie porozumieniem, wprowadzono dla potrzeb łączności ze statkami, 50 skrótów rozpoczynających się od litery Q. Kod ten okazał się na tyle wygodny, że jest ciągle stosowany, a takie skróty jak QRN, QRM, QSO, są powszechne w łączności radiowej. Zaproponowany wtedy skrót QSL ("potwierdzam odebranie") stał się również przyjętą nazwą pisemnego potwierdzenia łączności lub nasłuchu, i to nie tylko w przypadku amatorów, ale także stacji radiofonicznych. Skrót QRP, oprócz informacji, że stacja nadaje z mocą mniejszą niż 5 W, daje również pierwszeństwo w łączności ze stacjami nadającymi z większą mocą. Do łączności amatorskich kod Q wprowadził w latach 30. XX wieku Amerykanin W1UE. Kod ten ułatwiał wymianę informacji pomiędzy amatorami różnych krajów. Kod Q miał jednak zasadnicze zastosowanie w prowadzeniu łączności w służbach profesjonalnych, szczególnie morskich i lotniczych, dlatego też wiele skrótów dotyczy wymiany danych o żegludze (np. QTI "jaki jest twój kurs?" QTJ "jaka jest twoja prędkość?") oraz lotnictwa (np. QBF "czy lecisz w chmurach?").
