Purgatório
Purgatório was a garage band from
Ansião,
Portugal. It was founded in 1995, its original line-up was:José António Silva, "Zé Gato" (drums)Leonel Morgado, "Nelo" (guitar)Luís Salgueiro, "Sal" (vocals)Pedro Silva, "Mona" (bass)Rodolfo Ferreira, "Necas" (guitar)Their first official live performance was held at the Tornado bar, at Ramal do Alvorge, Alvorge (
Ansião,
Portugal), in 1996.In 1997, they won the Most Original Band award at the "Independentes ao Vivo" festival. The panel included Paulo Gaspar, drummer of the Portuguese bands Mártir and My Tie. Their career lasted until 2000. The band self-published a demo CD, called V.E.R. - Vidas Em Risco (literally, "Lives at Risk", the acronym meaning "to see"), with three songs, recorded at the Estúdios DigoDai (
