Pulse mode
The ability of an amplifier to provide a pulsed RF output in addition to the standard CW mode where the output is a continuous flow of RF. When operated in the pulse mode, in addition to supplying an input RF signal, a square wave is applied to the pulse input which will gate the input RF through the amplifier. In general, if the pulse input is low (a logical "0"), the input RF is interrupted, and if the pulse is high (a logical "1"), the RF is amplified resulting in a pulsed RF output signal.
