The Puerto Rican Boa is a slender,
terrestrial,
viviparous boa with a dark brown coloration. It grows up to be about six to nine feet long. It feeds on small mammals, birds and lizards. As a member of the rainbow boas (genus Epicrates), it belongs to the family of the true boas (Boidae). It is currently on the
endangered species list.
