Province of Brandenburg

The Province of Brandenburg was a province of the Kingdom of Prussia and the Free State of Prussia from 1815 to 1946. Its capital was originally Potsdam, before moving to Berlin in 1827, then back to Potsdam in 1843 and finally in Berlin-Charlottenburg in 1918.

La Province de Brandebourg est une ancienne province du Royaume de Prusse, puis de l'État libre de Prusse, qui eut Potsdam pour capitale, avant que celle-ci ne tranfèrée à Berlin en 1827. Potsdam retrouva de nouveau ce statut en 1843, avant qu'elle ne le perde définitivement au profit de Charlottenburg en 1918 (qui sera elle-même intrègrée au Grand Berlin en 1920).

Die Provinz Brandenburg war eine von zunächst zehn Provinzen (1822: 9, 1824: 8, 1850: 9, 1866/8: 12, 1878: 13), aus denen der Staat Preußen bis zu seiner Auflösung nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg bestand. Brandenburg war hierbei das Kernland des Königreichs Preußen.

Prowincja Brandenburgia (niem. Provinz Brandenburg) – pruska prowincja utworzona w 1815. Stolicą (siedzibą nadprezydenta) początkowo był Poczdam; później w latach 1827-1843 – Berlin, 1843-1918 ponownie Poczdam, a od 1918 do 1945 Berlin-Charlottenburg.Od 21 marca 1939 zmieniono nazwę prowincji na Mark Brandenburg (Marchia Brandenburska).
