A Protocol is a set of guidelines or rules that help in governing an operation on the internet and communications over it. They are of many types such as ftp, http, tcp/ip etc. It may also refer to: Diplomacy Standards of behavior and ceremony to be observed by diplomats and heads of state in relating to each other.
