Prometeo
Prometeo (Prometheus) is an opera, described as a "Tragedia dell'Ascolto" ("Tragedy for listening") with music by Luigi Nono. The Italian libretto was by Massimo Cacciari, taking selections from texts by a variety of authors, including [Aeschylus and Rainer Maria Rilke. It premiered at the Church of San Lorenzo (Venice) on September 251984Claudio Abbado was the conductor, with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, a choir from the Freiburg Conservatorium, and the following vocal soloists:Ingrid AdeMonika Bair-IvenzBernadette Manca di NissaSusanne OttoMario Bolognesi The score incorporates electronic manipulation of the sounds from the vocalists and instrumentalists.

En la mitología griega, Prometeo (en griego antiguo Προμηθεύς, ‘previsión’, ‘prospección’) es el Titán amigo de los mortales, honrado principalmente por robar el fuego de los dioses en el tallo de una cañaheja, darlo a los humanos para su uso y ser castigado por este motivo.
