The Prime Minister of Israel (, Rosh HaMemshala, lit. Head of the Government, Hebrew acronym: ; ) is the head of the Israeli government and the most powerful political figure in Israel (the position of President of Israel is largely honorary). The prime minister is the country's chief executive. The official residence of the prime minister, Beit Rosh Hamemshala is in Jerusalem. The current prime minister is Benjamin Netanyahu of Likud, the ninth person to hold the position (excluding caretakers).

Bei seiner Gründung 1948 nahm der Staat Israel ein parlamentarisches Regierungssystem an, mit einem Premierminister (hebr. ראש הממשלה, Rosch haMemschala „Oberhaupt der Regierung“) an der Spitze der Regierung und einem Präsidenten als Staatsoberhaupt mit überwiegend repräsentativen Aufgaben.

Dès sa création, l'État d'Israël a adopté un système parlementaire, avec un Premier ministre comme chef du gouvernement, et un Président comme chef de l'État, aux pouvoirs réduits à des fonctions protocolaires. Pendant quelques années, par l'introduction de l'élection des Premiers ministres au suffrage universel direct, leur rôle a été accru car il permettait à un gouvernement d'exister en ne disposant que d'une coalition minoritaire au Parlement, la Knesset.
