Power Of Atty
An instrument by which one person authorizes another to act for him in a manner which is as legally binding upon the person giving such authority as if he personally were to do the acts. It does not have to be made in favor of a licensed attorney. Most standard powers of attorney are automatically revoked should you become incompetent; A document under which a grantor gives an agent powers to act on behalf of the grantor.
 
Power Of Atty, Durable
POWER OF ATTY, DURABLE - A "durable" power of attorney is a special kind of power of attorney. It usually must appoint a family member or relative and often is limited in the kinds of powers that can be assigned. Unlike ordinary powers of attorney, durable powers can survive for long periods of time, and again, unlike standard powers of attorney, durable powers can continue after incompetency.

POWER OF ATTY, GENERAL - A document under which a grantor gives an agent wide-ranging powers to act on behalf of the grantor.

POWER OF ATTY, HEALTH CARE - A power of attorney form that continues (by its terms) to be effective even though the grantor has become mentally incompetent after signing the document.

POWER OF ATTY, REVOCATION OF - A document under which a grantor takes away (revokes) the authority and power of the agent to act on behalf of the grantor.
 
Power Of Atty, Special
POWER OF ATTY, SPECIAL - A document under which a grantor gives an agent a limited number of specific powers to act on behalf of the grantor.
