Port of Spain, also written as Port-of-Spain, is the capital of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the country's third-largest municipality, after San Fernando and Chaguanas. The city has a municipal population of 49,031 (2000 census), a metropolitan population of 128,026 (1990 unofficial estimate) and a transient daily population of 250,000. It is located on the Gulf of Paria, on the northwest coast of the island of Trinidad and is part of a larger conurbation stretching from Chaguaramas in the west to Arima in the east with an estimated population of 600,000.

Port-of-Spain ist die Hauptstadt von Trinidad und Tobago mit 50.700 Einwohnern, als Agglomeration 264.000 (Stand jeweils 1. Januar 2004), gelegen am Golf von Paria im Nordwesten der Insel Trinidad. Sie beherbergt den wichtigsten Hafen des Landes und ein technisches Institut; Asphalt- und Kakaoexport sind von großer Bedeutung. Von 1958 bis 1962 war Port-of-Spain Regierungssitz und de facto Hauptstadt der Westindischen Föderation bis zur Fertigstellung der geplanten Hauptstadt Chaguaramas, die jedoch nie erfolgte.

Port-d'Espagne aussi appelé Port of Spain en français comme en anglais, est la capitale de Trinité-et-Tobago. La ville est localisée sur le golfe du Paria sur l'île de Trinité. C'est le principal centre d'activité des Caraïbes, par l'export de produits issus de l'agriculture et du bitume. La bauxite vers les Guyanes (Guyane française, Guyana et Suriname) et le fer principalement vers le Venezuela pour être transformé.
