Porky Pig

Porky Pig is an Academy Award-nominated animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He was the first character created by the studio to draw audiences based on his star power, and the animators (particularly Bob Clampett) created many critically acclaimed shorts using the fat little pig. Even after he was supplanted by later characters, Porky continued to be popular with moviegoers and, more importantly, the Warners directors, who recast him in numerous everyman and sidekick roles. He is known for his signature line at the end of each short, "Th-th-th-that's all folks!" The slogan had also been used by both Bosko and Buddy and even Beans at the end of every Looney Tunes cartoon. In contrast, the Merrie Melodies series used the slogan: So Long, Folks! until the late 1930s when it was replaced with the same one used on the Looney Tunes series. (When Bugs Bunny was the closing character, he would break the pattern by simply saying, "And Dat's De End!")

Schweinchen Dick (englisch: Porky Pig) ist eine Figur aus der Cartoon-Serie „Looney Tunes“ von Warner Bros.Die fiktive Figur wurde von Bob Clampett erschaffen und erschien erstmals im Kurzfilm I Haven't Got a Hat (1935, Regie Friz Freleng).In den USA wurde die Figur besonders aufgrund der Porky Pig Show (1964 bis 1972) beliebt. Im Original wurde Porky Pig zuerst von Joe Dougherty gesprochen, der ein Stotterer war und dieses in die Rolle einzubauen wusste. Da er aber sein Stottern nur schlecht kontrollieren konnte, wurden der Firma durch die ständigen Wiederholungen die Produktionskosten zu hoch und so wurde die Rolle an das Stimmentalent Mel Blanc übergeben. Jede Cartoonfolge wurde mit Porkys Th-th-th-that's all folks! beendet, und in der Variation THAT'S ALL FOLKS steht der Ausspruch auch auf Mel Blancs Grabstein.

Porky Pig (chiamato: Pallino nel film: Daffy Duck acchiappafantasmi) è un personaggio dei cartoni animati Looney Tunes e Merrie Melodies. Ha come caratteristiche principali un parlare in maniera confusa e balbettante, e una spiccata ingenuità, soprattutto con Daffy Duck con il quale interagisce in molte occasioni. Daffy infatti, nella maggior parte dei casi, non perde occasione di prendersi gioco di lui al solo scopo di turbarlo. Nel corso dei decenni, il personaggio di Porky Pig è rimasto pressoché invariato dal punto di vista grafico, come molti altri personaggi Looney Tunes: le orecchie, la fisionomia, il naso, la parlata, ad eccezione del colore (dal momento che è nato in bianco e nero). Porky è apparso come "giocatore di basket" nel film a tecnica mista "Space Jam".

Porky Pig is een karakter uit de Looney Tunes / Merrie Melodies cartoon serie. Hij verscheen voor het eerst in 1935 in het filmpje I Haven't Got a Hat.Porky was er dus eerder dan Daffy Duck en Bugs Bunny die in 1938 voor het eerst te zien waren in Porky's Duck Hunt.Stemacteur Mel Blanc gaf gestalte aan het personage Porky Pig. Hij liet de onzekerige big stotteren en haspelen dat het een lieve lust was.
