Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) (Arabic: الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين, al-Jabhah al-Sha`biyyah li-Tahrīr Filastīn) is a Marxist-Leninist, secular, nationalist Palestinian political and military organization , founded in 1967. It has consistently been the second-largest of the groups forming the Palestine Liberation Organization (the largest being Fatah). It has generally taken a hard line on Palestinian national aspirations, opposing the more moderate stance of Fatah. It opposed the Oslo Accords and was for a long time opposed to the idea of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but in 1999 came to an agreement with the PLO leadership regarding negotiations with Israel. It has been designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union[1], Canada [2], and Israel. The military wing of the PFLP is called the Abu Ali Mustafa Battalions.

Le Front populaire de libération de la Palestine (en arabe : الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين) ou FPLP anciennement connu sous le nom de Mouvement nationaliste arabe est une organisation palestinienne militante, qui combine nationalisme arabe et marxisme, fondée en 1967 sous la direction de Georges Habache et Ahmed Jibril. Ce groupe rejoint l'Organisation de libération de la Palestine (OLP) en 1968 et devient, dans l'organisation, le deuxième groupe par son importance après le Fatah de Yasser Arafat.

Die Volksfront zur Befreiung Palästinas ( al-Dschabha asch-schaʿbiyya li-tahrīr Filastīn), engl. Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, allgemein als PFLP abgekürzt) ist eine seit den 1970er Jahren aktive marxistisch-leninistische, politische und militärische Palästinenserorganisation. Ma charakter świecki, łączy ideologię marksistowsko-leninowską z arabskim nacjonalizmem, na arenie międzynarodowej najściślejsze związki z Syrią. Het Volksfront voor de Bevrijding van Palestina (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – PFLP) is een seculiere, extreem-linkse Palestijnse groepering die vooral bekend is geworden door zijn vliegtuigkapingen in de jaren zeventig van de 20e eeuw. Volksfront voor de Bevrijding van Palestina moet niet verwart worden met Democratisch Front voor de Bevrijding van Palestina, dat een afsplitsing is.
