Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV)

a distinct form of choroidal neovascularization (CNV), specifically, an inner choroidal vascular abnormality with two distinct components: a network of branching vessels predominantly external to the choriocapillaris, and terminal aneurysmal dilatations, sometimes clinically seen as reddish-orange spheroidal, or polypoidal, vascular lesions.
