Pô is a city in southern Burkina Faso. It is the capital of the province of Nahouri. The main ethnic group are the Gurunsi. It is said to have been founded in around 1500 and is home to an army base.In 1983, an army unit under Blaise Compaoré led a rebellion which resulted in Thomas Sankara's release from prison and ascension to the presidency. The Pô National Park lies near the town."Pô" is also the name of one of five departments within the province of Nahouri in the Centre-Sud Region of Burkina Faso. It is located on the border with Ghana.

The Po (Latin: Padus, , ancient "Eridanus") is a river that flows 652 kilometers (405 miles) eastward across northern Italy, from Monviso (in the Cottian Alps) to the Adriatic Sea near Venice. It has a drainage area of 71,000 km² and is the longest river in Italy. It goes through many important Italian towns, including Turin (Torino) and (indirectly) Milan (Milano), in Lombardy. It is connected to Milan through a net of channels called navigli, which Leonardo da Vinci helped design. Near the end of its course, it creates a wide delta (with hundreds of small channels and five main ones, called Po di Maestra, Po della Pila, Po delle Tolle, Po di Gnocca and Po di Goro) at the southern part of which is Comacchio, an area famous for eels. The Po valley corresponds to the Roman Cisalpine Gaul, divided in Cispadane Gaul (South of the Po) and Transpadane Gaul (North of the Po).

Le Tibet est l'aire asiatique habitée par le peuple des Tibétains. Cette zone linguistique tibétaine ainsi que « le grand Tibet historique » revendiqué par le gouvernement tibétain en exil sont composés de trois régions : le Ü-Tsang (dont la plus grande partie du territoire est aujourd'hui comprise dans la Région autonome du Tibet), l'Amdo (correspondant aujourd'hui globalement aux provinces chinoises du Qinghai et du Gansu) et le Kham (dont le territoire est partagé entre les provinces du Sichuan et du Yunnan et la Région autonome du Tibet). Le nombre de Tibétains dans l'ensemble de ces régions est de , selon le bureau des statistiques de Chine. Le gouvernement tibétain en exil à Dharamsala (Inde) donne une estimation proche de ce chiffre de 6 millions de Tibétains vivant actuellement au Tibet. Il faut ajouter qu'environ Tibétains ont fui le Tibet et vivent actuellement en exil, principalement en Inde.

Der Fluss Po [] (lat. Padus, deutsch veraltet auch: Pfad, aus mhd. Phât oder Pfât) entspringt in den Cottischen Alpen nahe der italienisch-französischen Grenze und mündet nahe bei Venedig in die Adria. Mit einer Länge von 652 km ist er ist der größte Fluss  Italiens. Das Einzugsgebiet umfasst eine Fläche von 75.000 km².

Das Autonome Gebiet Tibet umfasst etwa die Hälfte des tibetischen Kulturraums und liegt im Süden Tibets. Die nördlichen und östlichen Teile des tibetischen Kulturraums sind Teil der chinesischen Provinzen Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan und Yunnan. Im offiziellen chinesischen Sprachgebrauch steht der englische Begriff Tibet (d.h. das chinesische Xizang 西藏) immer für das Autonome Gebiet Tibet; allerdings schließt auch der tibetische Begriff bod bzw. bod yul die osttibetischen Regionen Amdo und Kham, also überwiegend außerhalb des Autonomen Gebiets Tibet gelegenen Gebiete, üblicherweise nicht mit ein. Um mitgerechnet zu werden, muss im Tibetischen bod chen (Böchen) = „Groß-Tibet“ gebraucht werden.

Pad (wł. Po, łac. Padus) - rzeka w północnych Włoszech. Najdłuższa i największa rzeka tego kraju: jej maksymalny przepływ zanotowany w Pontelagoscuro koło Ferrary wyniósł 10 300 m³/s. Powierzchnia jej dorzecza stanowi ok. 1/4 powierzchni całych Włoch.Źródła Padu znajdują się w Pian del Re na terenie gminy Crissolo, na wysokości 2022 m n.p.m. u stóp Monte Viso w Alpach Kotyjskich. Przepływa przez wyżynę Monferrato i tworzy naturalną granicę dwóch regionów - Lombardii i Emilii-Romanii. Następnie płynie z zachodu na wschód żyzną Niziną Padańską. Uchodzi do Morza Adriatyckiego w pobliżu Wenecji tworząc deltę - jedną z najbardziej rozbudowanych w Europie. Delta ta, zaczynająca się już w pobliżu Ferrary, ma powierzchnię ok. 380 km². Liczy 14 ramion podzielonych na 5 grup: Po di Levante, Po di Maestra, Po delle Tolle, Po di Goro e di Gnocca, Po della Pilla. Roczny przyrost powierzchni delty wynosi ok. 80 ha.

Tybet (tybetański: Bod []) - region w Azji Środkowej; dawniej niepodległe państwo, w 1949 roku anektowane przez Chiny (zobacz: Tybetański Region Autonomiczny). Przed okupacją składało się z trzech prowincji (Amdo, Kham, Ü-Cang (dBu-gTsang)) i miało powierzchnię około 2,5 mln km². Tybet położony jest na średniej wysokości około 4000-5000 metrów nad poziomem morza. Od południa i zachodu jest ograniczony przez Himalaje, Karakorum oraz masyw Pamiru, od północy przez Kunlun, Ałtyn-tag oraz Nanszan. Rozciągłość równoleżnikowa Tybetu wynosi około 2500 km. Na jego terenie biorą początek takie wielkie rzeki jak Jangcy, Brahmaputra, Indus, Mekong oraz mniejsze - Saluin, Satledź, Kali Gandaki, Trisuli, Manas, Subansuri.

Con i suoi 652 km, è il fiume italiano più lungo (considerando quelli che scorrono completamente nel territorio nazionale), è quello con il bacino più esteso, ed anche quello con la massima portata alla foce, sia essa minima (assoluta 270 m3/s), media (1.540 m3/s) o massima (13.000 m3/s).
