PlayStation Portable

The is a handheld game console released and currently manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment. Its development was first announced during E3 2003, and it was officially unveiled on May 11, 2004 at a Sony press conference before E3 2004. The system was released in Japan on December 12, 2004, the United States and Canada on March 24, 2005 and in Europe and Australia on September 1, 2005. It is considered the first handheld video game system to use an optical disc format (Universal Media Disc).

PlayStation Portable (PSP) (tragbare PlayStation) ist der Name einer Handheld-Konsole von Sony Computer Entertainment. Am 12. Dezember 2004 erschien diese Konsole in Japan (dortiger Preis 20.000 Yen (ca. 145 Euro) für das Standard-Pack und 25.000 Yen (ca. 180 Euro) für das Value-Pack) und am 24. März 2005 in den  USA. In den USA werden derzeit nur Value-Packs für 249 US-Dollar (ca. 210 Euro, Preis ohne Steuern) verkauft. Der aktuelle Verkaufspreis in Europa beträgt 159,90 Euro. Die aktuelle Modellversion ist die  PlayStation Portable Slim & Lite.

Jej wymiary to 170mm x 74mm x 23mm, urządzenie waży 260 gramów, a wersja Slim & Lite 175 gramów i jest zasilane za pomocą baterii litowo-jonowej (1800 mAh lub 2200mAh 3.6V, 1200mAh w wersji Slim & Lite). Wystarczy to na około 3 do 4 godzin grania, w zależności od użytkowania (max. jasność ekranu i max. głośność przy baterii 1800 mAh ).
