Peter Lombard (rather Peter the Lombard) or Petrus Lombardus (c. 1096, Novara, Lombardy - August 21/22, 1164, Paris, France) was a scholastic theologian and bishop and author of Four Books of Sentences, which became the standard textbook of theology, for which he earned the accolade Magister Sententiarum.

Petrus Lombardus (it. Pietro Lombardo, * um 1095/1100 in Lumellogno bei Novara; † 20. Juli 1160) war ein scholastischer Theologe, Leiter der Kathedralschule von Notre Dame in Paris und gegen Ende seines Lebens Bischof von Paris. Nach dem Titel seines Hauptwerkes, der vier Bücher Sentenzen, wird er auch Magister sententiarum genannt.

Pierre Lombard (en italien Pietro Lombardo et en latin Petrus Lombardus)  (Lumellogno, un hameau de Novare, v. 1100 - Paris, ), fut un théologien scolastique et un évêque français du d'origine italienne.

Petrus Lombardus, troligen född mellan 1095 och 1100 i Lumellogno, i närheten av Novara, Italien, död 21 eller 22 juli 1160 i Paris, var en skolastisk teolog, samt biskop av Paris. Han är framför allt känd för sin antologi över kyrkofädernas lärdom, Sententiæ.

Piotr Lombard - teolog średniowieczny, ur. ok. 1100 r. w Novarze (albo w Lumello) we Włoszech, zm. ok. 1160-1164 r. Studiował najpierw w Bolonii, a później w Reims i w Paryżu. We Francji nawiązał kontakt ze św. Bernardem z Clairvaux. Był słuchaczem Piotra Abelarda. Następnie został mistrzem, prawdopodobnie w szkole katedralnej, a później arcybiskupem Paryża, ale piastował krótko ten urząd, na którym w r. 1158 lub 1159 zastąpił go Maurice de Sully, budowniczy katedry Notre-Dame.
