Philammon

Philammon
In Greek mythology, Philammon was the son of Chione and Apollo. Some say his mother was Leuconoe, daughter of Eosphoros, or Philonis, daughter of either Deion or of Eosphoros and Cleoboea. He was an excellent musician, a talent he received from his father. By Argiope, a nymph of Mount Parnassos, he had two children, Eumolpus and Thamyris.

Philammon
Philammon ist in der Griechischen Mythologie der Sohn von Chione und Apollon. Er war ein ausgezeichneter Musiker, der sein Talent von Apollon geerbt hatte. Er gehörte zu den Argonauten und stiftete die Argivischen Mysterien in Lerna. Den Tod fand der bei der Verteidigung von Delphoi gegen die Phlegyer. Philammon hatte zwei Kinder: Eumolpos und Thamyris.

Philammón
Philammón (Kr. e. 8. század?) görög költo

Elképzelheto, hogy nem valós, csupán mítikus személy. Trákiából származott, Apollo rituális költészetének körébe tartozott. A delphoibeliek segítségére sietett a phlegoszok elleni harcukban, de elesett. Neki tulajdonították az úgynevezett szuzek karának megteremtését, mely költeményeknek tárgya Létó és gyermeke. Származására és rokonságára nézve azt tartotta a hagyomány, hogy szülei Khüszosztemosz lantos (mások szerint maga Apollo) és Khióné; gyermekei Thamürisz és Eumolposz.
