Phil O’Donnell

Phil O'Donnell (born March 25, 1972, in Bellshill) is a Scottish football player.O'Donnell began his career with Motherwell F.C. and in 1991 at the age of 18 won a Scottish Cup winners medal after scoring for the Motherwell team that beat Dundee United 4-3 in the 1991 Scottish Cup Final.O'Donnell's blistering form made him a target for bigger clubs and he signed for Celtic F.C. in 1994. The fee of £1.75m is, to this day, the highest fee Motherwell have received for a player.

Dezember 2007 in Motherwell) war ein schottischer Fußballspieler, der zuletzt beim schottischen Erstligisten FC Motherwell spielte.Phil O’Donnell begann seine Profikarriere 1990 beim FC Motherwell. Dort wurde bald klar, dass er die Voraussetzungen zu einer steilen Karriere mitbrachte. Sein einziges Länderspiel in der schottischen Fußballnationalmannschaft bestritt er schon 1993, als er in Aberdeen in einem Spiel gegen die Schweiz in der 76. Minute eingewechselt wurde.

Zdobył także Puchar Szkocji w 1991, w finale wygrywając z Dundee United F.C. 4:3. To spowodowało, że podpisał kontrakt z Celtic F.C. w roku 1994, za 1,75 miliona funtów brytyjskich, co jest rekordem Motherwell F.C. do dnia dzisiejszego.
