The Phasianidae is a family of birds which consists of the pheasants and partridges, including the junglefowl (including chicken), Old World Quail, francolins, monals and peafowl. The family is a large one, and is occasionally broken up into two subfamilies, the Phasianinae, and the Perdicinae. Sometimes additional families and birds are treated as being in this family as well; the American Ornithologists' Union includes Tetraonidae (the grouse), Numididae (guineafowls), and Meleagrididae (turkeys) in Phasianidae as subfamilies.

Die Fasanenartigen (Phasianidae) stellen die mit Abstand größte Familie der Hühnervögel. 175 Arten werden hierher gerechnet, dazu gehören neben den eigentlichen Fasanen so bekannte Vögel wie das Bankivahuhn (mit seiner domestizierten Form, dem Haushuhn), das Rebhuhn, die Wachtel, das Truthuhn, das Auerhuhn und die Pfauen.

Fälthöns (Phasianidae) är en familj fåglar i ordningen hönsfåglar. Taxonomin för ordningen hönsfåglar är komplicerad och under diskussion. The Clements Checklist of Birds of the World (november 2008) fungerar som ett rättesnöre för många taxonomiska kommittéer i världen. Enligt den har skogshöns, pärlhöns och kalkoner förlorat status som specifika familjer, och slagits samman med familjen fälthöns. De tre behandlas då som underfamiljerna Tetraoninae, Numidinae respektive Meleagridinae.
