Palestinian National Authority
The Palestinian National Authority (PNA or PA; As-Sulta Al-Wataniyya Al-Filastīniyya) is an
interim administrative organization that
governs parts of the
West Bank and the
Gaza Strip.The Palestinian National Authority was established in 1994, pursuant to the
Oslo Accords between the
Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) and the government of
Israel, as a 5-year transitional body during which final status negotiations between the two parties were to take place. According to the Accords, the Palestinian Authority was designated to have control over both security-related and civilian issues in Palestinian urban areas (referred to as "Area A"), and only civilian control over Palestinian rural areas ("Area B"). The remainder of the territories, including Israeli settlements, the Jordan Valley region, and bypass roads between
Palestinian communities were to remain under exclusive Israeli control ("Area C").
East Jerusalem was excluded from the Accords.

Autorité palestinienne
L’Autorité palestinienne est le nom de l'entité gouvernementale qui représente les habitants arabes de
Cisjordanie et de la
bande de Gaza. Cette entité a été créée en
1993 par les
Accords d'Oslo, afin de négocier avec
Israël un accord final sur le conflit opposant les deux parties. Elle a un président et une assemblée élue au suffrage universel, une police et des représentants dans plusieurs pays.

Zachodniego Brzegu, znanych łącznie pod nazwą Palestyny. Powszechnie stosowana w Polsce nazwa Autonomia Palestyńska nie odpowiada dokładnie nazwie oficjalnej, której tłumaczenie to Palestyńskie Władze Narodowe. Dodatkowo, termin Autonomia Palestyńska jest powszechnie w Polsce utożsamiany z państwem
palestyńskim jako terytorium składającym się ze Strefy Gazy i części Zachodniego Brzegu. Jest to błąd -
Państwo Palestyna i Autonomia Palestyńska to dwie różne rzeczy. Państwo Palestyna zostało proklamowane w listopadzie 1988 roku w Algierze przez Palestyńską Radę Narodową. Nie posiada jednak suwerenności nad żadnym obszarem i nie jest państwem w myśl prawa międzynarodowego. Istniejące organy Autonomii Palestyńskiej nie są organami państwa palestyńskiego, choć zasady procesu pokojowego przewidują, że tak docelowo ma się stać.
