Palestine ( , , ; , Palaistinē; ; Hebrew: פלשתינה Palestina) is a conventional name, among others, used to describe the geographic region between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, and various adjoining lands. The region is also known as the Land of Israel (Hebrew: ארץ־ישראל Eretz-Yisra'el), the Holy Land and the Southern Levant, and historically has been known by other names including Canaan, Zion, Syria Palaestina, Southern Syria, Jund Filastin and Outremer.

La Palestine (dérivé du grec : Palaistina, par la forme latine : Palaestina, [en arabe : فلسطين Filastīn, en hébreu : פלשתינה ]) est une région du Proche-Orient, située entre la mer Méditerranée et le désert à l'Est du Jourdain. Les Juifs la nomment Eretz Israel (Terre d'Israël) et les Chrétiens Terre Sainte. Selon les époques, cette désignation correspond à une bande côtière plus étroite ou au contraire s'étend également au-delà du Jourdain. Elle est aujourd'hui principalement habitée par des Arabes et des Juifs et comprend l'État d'Israël, les Territoires palestiniens et, suivant les définitions données, une partie du Royaume de Jordanie.
