Ostsee

The Baltic Sea is located in Northern Europe, from 53°N to 66°N latitude and from 20°E to 26°E longitude. It is bounded by the Scandinavian Peninsula, the mainland of Europe, and the Danish islands. It drains into the Kattegat by way of the Øresund, the Great Belt and the Little Belt. The Kattegat continues through the Skagerrak into the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The Baltic Sea is artificially linked to the White Sea by the White Sea Canal and to the North Sea by the Kiel Canal.

La Baltique ou mer Baltique est une mer intracontinentale et intérieure de 432 800 km² située dans le nord de l'Europe, et reliée à l'océan Atlantique par la mer du Nord. Deux golfes principaux intègrent cet espace : le golfe de Botnie au nord et le golfe de Finlande à l'est.

Die Ostsee (auch Baltisches Meer genannt, von lat. Mare Balticum und suevisches Meer nach dem Stamm der Sueben im heutigen Mecklenburg) ist ein 413.000 km² großes und bis zu 459 m tiefes  Binnenmeer in Europa und gilt als das größte Brackwassermeer der Erde. Der Rauminhalt des Meeres beträgt ca. 20.000 km³.

Morze Bałtyckie, Bałtyk – płytkie morze śródlądowe na szelfie kontynentalnym w Europie północnej. Połączone z Morzem Północnym przez Cieśniny Duńskie (Sund, Mały i Wielki Bełt) oraz Kattegat i Skagerrak. Za zachodnią granicę Bałtyku przyjmuje się cieśninę Sund i próg podwodny ciągnący się na głębokości 18–20 m od przylądka Gedser (wyspa Falster) do przylądka Darßer Ort (Darß).

Балти́йское мо́ре (c древности и до XVIII века в России было известно как «Варяжское море», ) — внутриматериковое окраинное  море, глубоко вдающееся в материк. Балтийское море расположено в северной Европе, принадлежит бассейну Атлантического океана.Крайняя северная точка Балтийского моря расположена вблизи полярного круга (65°40' с.ш.), крайняя южная — около  Висмара (53°45' с.ш.).Крайняя западная точка расположена в районе Фленсбурга (9°10' в.д.), крайняя восточная — в районе  Санкт-Петербурга (30°15' в.д.)
