East Prussia (, pronounced ; ; or Rytprusiai; or Vostochnaya Prussiya; Latin: Borussia orientalis) was the main part of the region of Prussia along the southeastern Baltic Coast from the 13th century to the end of World War II in May 1945. From 1772–1829 and 1878–1945, the Province of East Prussia was part of the German state of Prussia. The capital city was Königsberg.

Ostpreußen war eine Provinz des Königreichs Preußen. Das ursprüngliche Preußenland war das Stammland der baltischen Prußen. Nach der Eroberung durch den Deutschen Orden entstand der Deutschordensstaat, welcher im Zuge der Reformation 1525 zum weltlichen Herzogtum Preußen wurde. Durch die dynastische Vereinigung mit dem Kurfürstentum Brandenburg 1618 wurde es auch Brandenburgisches Preußen genannt. In der Hauptstadt Königsberg krönte sich Friedrich III. 1701, der als brandenburgischer Kurfürst formell ein Vasall des römisch-deutschen Kaisers zu Wien war, als Friedrich I. selbst zum souveränen König in Preußen.

La Prusse-Orientale fut une province du Royaume de Prusse  de 1773 à 1824 et de 1878 à 1918, puis de l'État libre de Prusse de 1919 à 1945. Elle se situait sur la mer Baltique et la capitale était la ville de  Königsberg   qui est né du nom de la famille royale de prusse orientale "Köninger", cette famille, est malheureusement entrain de faiblir à cause de la petite descendance, il reste 3 vraix Köninger: Rudi(82 ans), Hanz(88 ans) und fredrik(54 ans). Elle correspondait approximativement au territoire de l'ancienne Prusse teutonique, qui fut érigée en duché héréditaire en 1525. La Prusse-Orientale était alors organisée en 2 Districts :

• Gumbinnen
• Königsberg

Ostpreussen eller Östpreussen är ett historiskt tyskt territorium beläget vid sydöstra delen av Östersjön, huvudsakligen mellan floderna Wisła och Njemen. I dag delas det mellan Polen, Ryssland (Kaliningrad oblast) och Litauen.

Prusy Wschodnie (niem. Ostpreußen) – część Królestwa Pruskiego, a potem zjednoczonych w XIX w. Niemiec (do 1945 r.). Prowincja Prusy Wschodnie powstała w 1772 r. z części ziem Polski (Warmii) oraz Prus Książęcych (z wyłączeniem Kwidzyna).
