Oregon

is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. The state lies on the Pacific coast between Washington on the north and California and Nevada on the south; Idaho lies to the east. The Columbia and Snake rivers form much of its northern and eastern boundaries, respectively. The valley of the Willamette River in western Oregon is the most densely populated and agriculturally productive region of the state.

L'Oregon est un État du nord-ouest des États-Unis, sur la côte Pacifique. Il est séparé de l'État de Washington au nord par la Columbia, et a pour autres États limitrophes à l'est l'Idaho, au sud le Nevada et la Californie. La frontière ouest de cet État est constituée par l'océan Pacifique. Son nom est censé être une déformation du français « ouragan », et on le surnomme The Beaver State (l'État du Castor).

Oregon - stan w zachodniej części Stanów Zjednoczonych, na wybrzeżu Pacyfiku. Od południa graniczy ze stanami Kalifornia i Nevada, od wschodu z Idaho, w dużej części wzdłuż rzeki Snake, od północy z Waszyngtonem, w dużej części wzdłuż rzeki Kolumbia. Między dwoma łańcuchami gór, biegnącymi z południa na północ, Górami Nadbrzeżnymi i Kaskadowymi znajduje się Dolina Willamette - jeden z najbardziej urodzajnych regionów na świecie. Oregon jest znany z dużej ilości deszczu, ale tyczy się to tylko jego zachodniej części.

L'Oregon è uno stato federale (255.026 km², 3.421.399 abitanti, capitale  Salem) degli Stati Uniti d'America.La più grande città dell'Oregon è Portland. Altre importanti città sono Eugene e Medford. Il soprannome dello stato è Beaver state, ossia lo stato dei castori, animali molto diffusi nella regione grazie alle sue vaste aree incontaminate.
