Old Crow

Old Crow is a brand of Kentucky bourbon whiskey, distilled by Fortune Brands which also produces Jim Beam and several other brands of whiskeyOld Crow is supposedly named in honor of Dr. James C. Crow, the Scottish chemist who is said to have invented the sour mash process now used by all bourbon distillers. In this process, a small amount of the previous batch is left behind to help activate the work of the yeast in the new batch.

Old Crow tiene cerca de 282 habitantes (Yukon Bureau of Statistics, Dec. 2006), la mayor parte de ellos pertenecen a la Primera Nación Aborigen Vuntut Gwitchin hablantes de gwich'in. Está situado en el Río Porcupine en el norte del Yukón donde funciona el Aeropuerto Old Crow, lo cual es muy importante porque es la única comunidad del Yukón a la que no se puede llegar en auto.
