Oakland County International Airport is a large general aviation airport located in Waterford Township, Michigan and 5 mi (8 km) west of Pontiac in Oakland County. It is the 6th busiest airports in the United States without scheduled passenger service.[1] Charters carrying teams competing at the nearby Palace of Auburn Hills frequently use the airport. The airport was opened in 1928 and originally called Pontiac Municipal Airport.
