Ott is a record producer who has worked with Sinéad O'Connor, Embrace, The Orb, and Brian Eno, but has achieved greater recognition since 2002 for his own psychedelic dub tracks, and his collaborations with Simon Posford (Hallucinogen / Shpongle).

As a three letter acronym, OTT may stand for:Old Town Toronto, a large neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which contains the entire original area of the city that was founded and settled in 1763. This area contains over 1,000 historic buildings, mostly from the Victorian period, and is well known for its restaurants and unique shops, which attract tourists from around the world. over the topO.T.T., which stood for "Over The Top", a shortlived 1982 attempt by Central Television to recreate the anarchy of the children's programme Tiswas in a late night format for adults.

Ott to pseudonim angielskiego DJ'a, kompozytora i producenta muzycznego. Ott współpracował z wieloma artystami i grupami muzycznymi, byli to: Brian Eno, The Orb, Youth, Shpongle, Killing Joke, Hallucinogen, Sinead O'Connor, Embrace, Steve Hillage, System 7, Natacha Atlas i inni. Obecnie związany z wytwórnią Simona Posforda - Twisted Records. Artysta stał się bardziej popularny po wydaniu płyty Hallucinogen - In Dub w 2002 roku, która zawierała 6 zremiksowanych przez niego utworów Hallucinogena. W 2003 roku wydał swój pierwszy solowy album Blumenkraft, w którym stworzył charakterystyczny styl łącząc elektroniczne dźwięki, dub i orientalne rytmy. 25 stycznia 2008 został wydany drugi album Otta - Skylon.
