Nottinghamshire

Nottinghamshire (abbreviated Notts) is an English county in the East Midlands, which borders South Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire. The county town is traditionally Nottingham, at , though the council is now based in West Bridgford (at a site facing Nottingham over the River Trent).

Nottinghamshire (spr. -hamschir, Notts) ist eine Grafschaft im mittleren England mit knapp über einer Million Einwohnern (2002). Verwaltungssitz ist die Stadt Nottingham. Nottinghamshire grenzt an South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire und Derbyshire. Nottinghamshire hat die folgenden Distrikte: Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, und Rushcliffe. Die Stadt Nottingham war bis 1998 ein Teil der Grafschaft, ist aber seit dem ein selbständiger Stadtkreis (Unitary Authority).

Nottinghamshire (w skrócie Notts) jest angielskim hrabstwem położonym w regionie East Midlands w środkowej Anglii, które zamieszkuje około 1 mln (2006) mieszkańców. Samo miasto Nottingham jest zaliczane w skład hrabstwa tylko dla celów ceremonialnych, faktycznie stanowi bowiem jednolitą jednostkę administracyjną. Rzeczywista siedziba władz hrabstwa usytuowana jest w West Bridgford w dystrykcie Rushcliffe. Na terenie hrabstwa znajduje się 11 jednomandatowych okręgów wyborczych do Izby Gmin.
