The Norwegian Sea is a marginal sea in the North Atlantic Ocean, northwest of Norway. It is located between the North Sea (i.e. north of Scotland) and the Greenland Sea and adjoins the North Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Barents Sea to the northeast. In the southwest, it is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a submarine ridge running between Iceland and the Faroe Islands. To the North, the Jan Mayen Ridge separates it from the Greenland Sea.

Das Europäische Nordmeer ist ein Randmeer des Atlantischen Ozeans. Es bildet die wichtigste Verbindung zwischen dem offenen Nordatlantik und dem Arktischen Ozean. Das Meer liegt zwischen Norwegen, Island und der Inselgruppe Spitzbergen und bedeckt eine Fläche von rund 1,1 Millionen km². Anders als die im Süden anschließende Nordsee und die Barentssee im Nordosten ist das Europäische Nordmeer dabei kein Schelfmeer, sondern erreicht Tiefen von bis zu 4000 Metern. Der Meeresgrund ist von einer sehr unebenen Bodengestalt und reich an Erdgas und -öl, die Küstenzonen dienen zahlreichen Fischen des Nordatlantiks als Laichgebiet.

La mer de Norvège est une mer de l'océan Atlantique qui borde l'Europe du Nord. Située entre l'Islande à l'ouest, l'Écosse au sud et la Norvège à l'est, elle baigne les îles Féroé. Elle communique avec l'océan Atlantique et la mer du Nord au sud, la mer de Barents à l'est et la mer du Groenland au nord.

Norska havet är benämningen på den subpolära bassäng av Atlanten, som ligger mellan Norge, Bjørnøya och Spetsbergen å ena sidan samt Grönland, Island och Färöarna å den andra.
