Northern Ireland ( , Ulster Scots: Norlin Airlann or Norlin Airlan) is a part of the United Kingdom in the north-east of the island of Ireland. It shares a border with the Republic of Ireland to the south and west. As of 2001, its population was 1,685,000, constituting about 30% of the island's total population and about 3% of the population of the United Kingdom. Since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998, Northern Ireland is largely self-governing. According to the agreement, Northern Ireland co-operates with the rest of Ireland – from which it was partitioned in 1921 — on some policy areas, while other areas are reserved for the Government of the United Kingdom, though the Republic of Ireland "may put forward views and proposals".

Nordirland (englisch: Northern Ireland, irisch: Tuaisceart Éireann) ist ein Land und Teil des Vereinigten Königreichs Großbritannien und Nordirland. Es besteht aus sechs der neun Grafschaften (→ Verwaltungsgliederung Irlands) der historischen irischen Provinz Ulster im Norden Irlands.

Elle couvre , soit environ un sixième de l'île entière et 5% du Royaume-Uni. Elle a une population de d'après le recensement du Royaume-Uni de 2001. Cela représente entre un quart et un tiers de la population de l'île et 3% de celle du Royaume-Uni. La capitale, et en même temps la plus grande ville, est Belfast.

Nordirland är en riksdel (engelska: constituent country) och självstyrande provins inom den självständiga staten Förenade konungariket Storbritannien och Nordirland  (engelska: United Kingdom) sedan den 3 maj 1921. Nordirland, beläget på ön Irland, är den minsta riksdelen efter England, Skottland och Wales vilka är belägna på ön Storbritannien.

Irlandia Północna- jedna z części składowych w Wielkiej Brytanii, jest częścią składową Zjednoczonego Królestwa Wielkiej Brytanii i Irlandii Północnej (prowincja). Jej stolicą jest Belfast.
